"My name's Craig Scime from clearstarmedia.com speaking today for Expert Village about demo reels like I say, primarily for acting. So my last segment, did I leave you on a cliff hanger, make you want to watch this clip? Well I hope so. If not, certainly the information that I'm going to tell you will be useful if the presentation is somewhat boring. So anyways, what did I leave you with? I said what do we put at the end of our reel? And I didn't tell you. Well now I'm going to. At the end of your reel, okay you've got your montage, you've got your name, you've got all your clips put together and it looks great, it sounds great, it's a work of art and it's something you're very proud of. What do you put in at the end? The next thing after all your clips are done, you put your name. The first thing is, after all the clips you have on screen, put your name in because that is, of course, what you want them to remember you by. You got your work that they know you, know who you are, but then you want them to remember your name. The next thing that I think is important to put out there is SAG or AFTRA or any other union affiliation that you may have, so they know that you are an actor who is in these unions. Which of course here in Hollywood, that's something that a lot of people need to know whether or not you're right for a role based on, of course, your union affiliation. And then what many people do is put on their phone number. Now I'm not for or against phone numbers. However, I do believe that of course it's good to put your phone number at the end of a reel, I partly don't think it's necessary. Why, because I don't think any casting director, manager, agent is going to say, "oh my gosh! We need to call this person. Let's fast forward to the end of his reel and find out his phone number". I don't really think they're going to do that. I think what they'll probably do is look at your head shot and resume and make your phone number. But, nonetheless, I still put them up for actors and most people do. I don't think it's a bad thing, I just don't think it's what anybody will ever call you from is that phone number. The next segment, what we're going to do is wrap things up here at Expert Village and tell you all the little things odds and ends that I left out throughout the other segments. So stay with us and I'll wrap things up in the next segment."
