"Hi, my name is Dan Kimbrough on behalf of expertvillage.com, in this clip we are going to discuss how to play a hand that is missing a suit. As you could see we are missing the clubs in this hand and so what we are going to do is wait for clubs to be lead. Once the clubs has finally been lead, you are going to cut. You cut with the 2s the lowest one, given the fact that it is early in the game no one's probably used any spades yet, you are good to go. By cutting with the 2, you are going to win that book. Guarantee because you don't have any and the reason you are going to win guarantee is because there are 13 clubs in the deck. Between the three of them throw out 13, the chance that two of them had all the clubs is very, very slim. So you could play that 2 and you are good to go. Now the 2 has been played so you are going to come back I will then follow with the big joker. Reason being it is going to start pulling spades out of someone's hand. Now you have no clubs which means someone has a lot of clubs which means that person has very few spades. So what you want to do is figure out who is the person with the small amount of spades. If you play the big joker you are going to win. So then you come back and you play the ace. On this one whoever has the little joker is probably going to play it. By doing that you now have the next two highest cards in the deck, guaranteeing that you got at least 4 from that one right there. Now when it comes back to it you still have 1 spade left, there are clubs that are still going to be out there. You may have lost the lead you, may still be in the lead but with this point if you are in the lead I wouldn't lead with the 5. I would come back with another suit altogether because eventually clubs are going to lead again because the first person who has them and when they do, you will probably have the only spade left in the deck so you could play that 5 and then you got another one. That means that you have taken 5 books from playing properly. You have may not win with the ace but you have taken 5 books which are going to help you and out of those five you still have 8 cards that are out there in place still, so you never know what is going to happen.
