"DAVID A. CLEMEN: All right. Once you sew that stitch, you're going to want to press the seam down so you can top stitch on the other side. So, all you gotta do is--and I'm actually going to press. Normally, in clothing design, you're gonna--you would press the seam open. For this one, since this is the darker color, I'm going to press this down to the dark side but on the inside of the fabric where the raw edges. So, I'm just going to press to this way and there's a little water over there and that'll evaporate. And you just want to go down. And if the fabric that you're using has a lot of creases in it and so forth, one thing that you can do is actually take the material and just wash it first, just do a really short cycle. Wash it and dry it. And I tumble dry and that will usually get rid out of the--get rid of the starch and so forth that they put in the fabric when they first make it. So, I'm going to take this and press it down then I'm going to actually flip it over. And start to see how it's looking. And then I'm pressing--pressing it apart. All right. And then that's pressing the seams."
