"In this clip we're going to go over some finishing skills. I have formed my pot and am looking to clean it up and to get it tighter. What I can do is use my wooden tool with the point. Come in here at the bottom, and I want to get some of this clay or weight out of here. I'm going to incise the clay down here and try to remove some of the clay up off the bottom. I can really define a lot of my pot here, forming the base and forming the lip, the top into what I want it to be. I'd like to create a little undercut here which creates a little shadow so later on it can seemingly come up off the surface of the table and not be so grounded. So just undercutting, going slowly, trying to remove some of the clay and forming our bottom."
