How to Fix Weaving Mistakes

"Hi, this is Debbie Hublin Vogel and I'm here for Expert Village to show you how to make a rag rug on a hand-made loom. Right now we're working on laying in an inch wide piece of fabric and I can see, even though you may not be able to see it by this side, that I caught a wrong one. Since you're working by hand, it's really easy to fix these. Here you can see, this one just isn't connected to anything. It means, I picked up the wrong one. So, I'm going to undo part of it and go back and make sure I got every other one. Here's how we do that. We'll just take this out, back to where it's hanging up. This is the one that's hanging out the back too far. And I'll just pull this out until I get there. And what happened was, I actually twisted these and caught the wrong one. So now I'm going to go back here. This is on top. I want that underneath. And this one is on the bottom and I want that to come forward. And I'm the one that's controlling this, so I know I want these over like that. Okay, here's the one on the bottom. It's the right one. Go there. And we want a nice inch, so it will be nice and thick. Here's the one on the bottom. You want it to be comfortable under your feet, so you want it to be nice and smooth. Here's the one on the bottom. Here's the one on the bottom. Here's the one on the bottom. And so here you can see that we've already added two inches, just like that."
