"Hi! My name is Denise Bennett and I'm here on behalf of Expert Village. Here we have some organic avocados. This is pretty nice actually. It's pushing in just a little bit. This might be ready in about another day. Avocados, you can go ahead and buy them if they're completely firm and leave them on your counter. If you want it to go a little faster put them in a brown paper bag and that will be good for lots of different recipes. Organic. What that means is of course no pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, all those sides. The things that are awful for the planet and terrible for our bodies. Then also, I believe that, and I'm not up on all this perfectly, but I believe it means too that they've either allowed the soil a chance to rest. All the farmers knew how to do that hundred years ago. We've lost that because maybe it's owned by large corporations and they're trying to go for all the big money. They used to respect the land, so they would do crop rotation and not just wear the soil out completely. We've got a higher nutrient content in organic. All that matters. We're going to go on to pears. This is nice. It's a little soft, that's good. I'd probably pick the one in this hand here versus this one. They're probably both good. I think I'd choose this one, the one that's a little greener."
