How to Make a Guitar Strap Star Applique

"I'm Candi Cane-Canncel with Expert Village. So in this clip I'm going to show you how to design appliques for your super star guitar strap. Now because it is a guitar strap, and we want it to be very rock star like, we're going to do star appliques. To do a star, I'm just going to draw a point up here, come down about an inch, do the same for the other side. And this is going to be our top point. Then I'm just going to measure out, go out about an inch on either side, come back down, then I'm just going to take this point, come down about an inch, take that point, come down about an inch, and then I'm going to come back in to about the center, and then take this point and make it neat. And these are going to be a little bit irregular sort of stars, just to give it a little bit more fun detail. Once you have it drawn out, you can go ahead and cut your applique out. So after you've finished cutting it out, the next step is going to be actually cutting the applique out of the fabric."
