"I'm Candi Cane Canncel with Expert Village. So we've sewing our flaps for our patch pocket now we have to actually attach the flap to the pocket. What you want to do is start by placing it right above your pocket and you're going to pin. Then what you're going to do is run a seam just right along here about a 1/4", (stitching) now it would also be a good time if you do end up with any extra fabric down here you can go ahead and just trim that seam allowance away. But this looks like it's pretty good, trim off the edges any extra little threads and there you have your little patch pocket. This would also be a great time to add a piece of Velcro or a snap or even a button and of course if you were using fabric, it would lay a lot flatter and straighter. There you have it a patch pocket with a flap."
