"I'm Candi Cane Canncel with Expert Village. In this clip I'm going to show you how to take your patch pocket flap pattern and trace it out of your fabric. You want to go ahead and fold your fabric in half because you're going to be cutting out two flaps we're going to have one for the top layer and one for the bottom layer. If you are using a thin light weight cotton or woven silk or something that is a very thin fabric, you do also want to cut out a piece of inner facing that is the same size just to give your flap a little bit more structure. But in this case because I'm using felt, it's thick enough so we definitely don't need the inner facing. (tracing) Once you trace out your pattern, you're ready to cut (cutting). Once your pattern is cut out, we're going to be stitching all around the sides of our flap."
