"I'm Candi Cane Canncel with Expert Village. In this clip we're going to be stitching the sides of our flap together. So you take our two flap pieces make sure they're aligned perfectly and you're going to pin all the way around the three sides leaving the top open. At this point before I start stitching, what I like to do is just measure up my flap to my pocket to make sure that it is going to be larger but not too large. In this case it is quiet big so I just want to take that into consideration when I stitch. Instead of doing a quarter inch seam allowance I'm going to be doing a 3/8 seam allowance so once you have it pinned you're ready to stitch. (stitching) Once you stitch your patch, you can go ahead and take out our pins and you do want to trim the corners. Once you trim your corners, we're going to turn it inside out and then we're going to add some top stitching. "
