"I'm Candi Cane Canncel with Expert Village. So in this clip I'm going to show you how to take the pocket pattern that you made and actually cut it out of the fabric. So I'm going to be using felt and felt is just a really inexpensive fabric, it comes in a variety of colors and just for demonstration purposes it's also really easy to sew. So what you want to do is just go ahead and line it up and you want your piece to be as straight as possible. Take some tailors chalk and just go ahead and trace out your pattern and then you're ready to cut it out. Once you cut it out, you do want to measure out where your facing the fold line is and that is the extra fabric that we put on the top of the fabric."
