"I'm Candi Cane Canncel with Expert Village. So the first thing you want to do is draw out your patch pocket. We're going to do ours again 4" wide by 5" long so you're going to want to just measure down 5" long and just put a little mark and then from there measure 4" wide. Now what we're also going to do with this is add a seam allowance. A seam allowance is basically extra fabric around your pocket that is going to fold under and just give you a really nice edge. In addition to that, we're also going to be adding a facing and a facing is just extra fabric at the top that we're actually going to be folding under to give you a really nice top edge. For that you're going to want to go ahead and measure I say at least an inch but I'm going to do an inch and a quarter. "
