"Hi, I'm Candi Cane Canncel with Expert Village. In this clip I'm going to show you how to do an exposed zipper. This is a really fun little zipper treatment that I came across in a book a while ago. I really like it because you are actually taking a standard zipper and sewing it to the outside of something. The zipper instead of being just functional now it also serves is a little decoration. So what we're going to do in order to illustrate this is I'm going to make a little bag that you can keep your valuables in or some change or something like that. I'm going to use this little tiny zipper and make a really fun little exposed zipper treatment. So the first step is take your fabric and you want to take the right side of the fabric and you want to put it in about an 1" away from the top. Go ahead and pin it in place. You just want to make sure it's laying really flat."
