"OK, now we're ready to begin. So, the first step that we're going to need to do is, so you take your craft wood, and we're going to have our paper plate for our palate. You're going to only need your large paint brush, and remember those bristles need to be wet, and your acrylic paint. So, you're going to take your base color, squeeze about a quarter size drop on there, and your paint brush in on both sides, and just start painting the wood back and forth. And again, you want to remember, go with the grain in the wood. You don't want any funny streaks running through there. You can apply more than one coat. If you choose to apply more than one coat of your base color, just remember to set your wood aside for about an hour, and let that first hot coat dry. If not, you're going to end up getting all kinds of little nicks and bumps on there. So, we're going to apply that coat, and I'm going to do my edges as well, going with the grain of the wood. Now, this bottom lip of my craft wood, I'm not going to paint, we're going to be attaching ribbon to that a little later. "
