"CHANTELLE TIBBS: Now, they have dryers to dry shirts. GRACE FRAGA: Yes. CHANTELLE TIBBS: They have special dryers. Again, I try to just be resourceful and the good thing about being an artist is that we get to be creative. GRACE FRAGA: Yes. CHANTELLE TIBBS: And what I loved about starting my company was that I got to see my way around, it's coming up with all the start-up capital. And because we're creative, we could come up with artistic ways to do it like so. GRACE FRAGA: Artistic i.e. cheap. CHANTELLE TIBBS: Cheap! GRACE FRAGA: Exactly. CHANTELLE TIBBS: Frugal and artistic, creative ways to get around, just paying for heavy machinery, paying for a bunch of equipment. This is my baby. GRACE FRAGA: Nice, just a simple hairdryer. CHANTELLE TIBBS: Simple hairdryer. GRACE FRAGA: Nice. CHANTELLE TIBBS: Put it on high. GRACE FRAGA: Hot or cold? CHANTELLE TIBBS: High. GRACE FRAGA: Hot or cold? CHANTELLE TIBBS: Oh, yeah. You're going to want to use heat. The coolest thing about the hairdryer is that it's going to set your design with the heat and it's also going to dry your design so you can wear it quicker without transferring it to a hanger or drying in the air and, again, more touch up, paints all over the place. GRACE FRAGA: Now, once you've dry it, you can start wearing it or should you wait maybe a day or two? CHANTELLE TIBBS: Uh-uh. Once you've dried it... GRACE FRAGA: That's it? CHANTELLE TIBBS: ...you've used it, yeah, absolutely. GRACE FRAGA: That's amazing. CHANTELLE TIBBS: Uh-huh. GRACE FRAGA: So, let's dry it. CHANTELLE TIBBS: You're going to want to get the hairdryer. GRACE FRAGA: How do you know it's dry? CHANTELLE TIBBS: You know when it's dry when--I don't know. GRACE FRAGA: When you touch it and your finger's not black, right? CHANTELLE TIBBS: Yeah. I use Q-tips sometimes to go over it... GRACE FRAGA: You do? CHANTELLE TIBBS: ...to make sure. GRACE FRAGA: Okay. CHANTELLE TIBBS: Q-tips are [OVERLAPPING] GRACE FRAGA: Q-tips are a good way to check it if it's dry or not. CHANTELLE TIBBS: Don't go crazy with the Q-tips, just blot it down real quick and see if there's... GRACE FRAGA: Right. CHANTELLE TIBBS: ...paint coming up on it. Now what I'm doing is I'm getting really close to the image. This is what's going to set it more and it's also going to dry quicker. And again, you can buy dryers. I don't know how much they run. GRACE FRAGA: Probably like $10 or $20. CHANTELLE TIBBS: The hairdryer is like $10 to $20. The actual dryers that they buy to dry shirts are probably more expensive. GRACE FRAGA: Oh, really? CHANTELLE TIBBS: Yeah, definitely more expensive. GRACE FRAGA: What's difference between professional dryer and a hand dryer? CHANTELLE TIBBS: One's more expensive. GRACE FRAGA: [OVERLAPPING] CHANTELLE TIBBS: They're expensive. Yeah, they also dry a lot quicker so I'm not going to [INAUDIBLE] GRACE FRAGA: And really you said you want 5 minutes maybe? Alright, so it's about finished. Great, so it's dry now. CHANTELLE TIBBS: It's dry. GRACE FRAGA: So, it's ready to wear. So, it's very easy. Take the tweeners out. CHANTELLE TIBBS: Yeah, took the tweener out. It's done. You're ready to go. GRACE FRAGA: Dry it. Make sure it's close to the design, right, when you dry it? CHANTELLE TIBBS: Uh-huh. Make sure it's very close to the design, 'cause the closer it is, the more you're able to set the design and heat so that when you put it in the wash, it's not going to wash off. GRACE FRAGA: Great. So, grab a dryer and go ahead and finish it up and it's ready to wear."
