"GRACE FRAGA: All right, so we now finished painting the design. We Shouted it out. We painted over stuff that wasn't correct, so what's next? CHANTELLE TIBBS: All right, cover your paints. Make sure everything that you're using is covered up. You don't want to leave your paint open for too long because then it dries and it gets stupid. GRACE FRAGA: And you can actually mess up your t-shirt. CHANTELLE TIBBS: Yes, you can actually mess up your t-shirt if you go into paint that has dry pieces of cloth with it, you're just asking for more mistakes. So close up your paints, throw out your Shout Wipes, anything with paint on, and the brush that you used, put it in the water, very, very important, so you have everything under control. We're going to get ready to take the tweener out. GRACE FRAGA: Oh, great. So, that's kind of like an art form, isn't it? CHANTELLE TIBBS: Yeah. This is an art form within itself. I can't tell you how many times you'll make a t-shirt and it looks great. And because you left the paint out or there's something hanging here, gets on the shirt, especially with taking the tweener out, you want to make sure that the design is not drying on the tweener or the cardboard in between. A lot of people we know and I've done it myself, we get excited. We're done. Yay! It's done. It looks great. Let's dry it and then you try to take the tweener out and it's pretty much like glued to the inside of the shirt. You don't want to do that. GRACE FRAGA: Oh, my god. CHANTELLE TIBBS: Take it out as soon as possible, as soon as you can possibly can, as soon as you're done painting, you don't want it bleed it through. You take it out and then you put it away. GRACE FRAGA: And so, this is not going to bleed on the other side anymore. There's no more risk of that happening. CHANTELLELE TIBBS: No. By the time you're done touching up, Shouting up, doing all the stuff, your paint should be dry to a certain degree where it's not going to bleed through and you've already applied the pressure with the tweener. That usually what causes it to bleed through, is when you're applying pressure to paint and it'll go through two layers of the shirt. So now, it's good. You've got it. It is okay but you want to make sure it's very, very, very important. Also, have somebody hold on the shirt while you're taking it out. If you're taking it out and maybe it is sticking a little bit, the paint is sticking in, be patient, take your time, you don't want it kshh, kshh, kshh, and the shirt's flying all over the place, the tweener's flying all over the place, and now we have more Shout problems, we have more touch-ups. Just be patient. It's not that big of a deal. It usually come right out and every thing's cool and every thing's smooth but worst case scenario, you want to prepare for that. So, now, you've got your shirt, it's not dry. So be careful with it, don't touch the design yet. It's not dry yet. So, you've got your tweener out and everything safe so far, it's sitting there, and now, the shirt's ready to be dried. GRACE FRAGA: Great, so rememeber, take the tweener out, make sure you don't put anything on your fingers on the t-shirt so you don't mess it up. What else? You have to close all your paints, right? CHANTELLE TIBBS: Close all your paints. You can even use the Shout Wipes. I usually have wet wipes. Wipe your hands. If you've got paint in your hands and you're pulling stuff, you're going to get... GRACE FRAGA: And then forget it, you're going to stain it. CHANTELLE TIBBS: Uh-huh. GRACE FRAGA: So, great. So, now we're going to go to the next step which is... CHANTELLE TIBBS: We're going to dry the shirt. GRACE FRAGA: We're going to dry the shirt, next."
