"GRACE FRAGA: Hi. You're watching Expert Village and I'm your host, Grace Fraga, for Arts & Crafts and Everything Fun. Today, we are going to learn how to make a hand-painted T-shirt. And I have here with me our expert, Chantelle Tibbs, from Wear Me Naked. Hi, Chantelle. CHANTELLE TIBBS: Hey. How's it going, Grace? GRACE FRAGA: It's going great. So you own Wear Me Naked. They could find you at wearmenaked.com. CHANTELLE TIBBS: You can find me at wearmenaked.com. GRACE FRAGA: Great. And you do hand-painted T-shirts, and you are going to teach me. We're going to go through the process while you teach me. CHANTELLE TIBBS: Oh, yeah. GRACE FRAGA: Okay, great. CHANTELLE TIBBS: We do hand-painted hand-stencilled T-shirts. This is going to be a hand-painted T-shirt, so we're going to have some fun. It's all about your creative input. GRACE FRAGA: Yes. CHANTELLE TIBBS: And I'm going to teach you how to do it just with a T-shirt and your hands and some paint--very, very, very personal. GRACE FRAGA: So, Chantelle, where do we get the T-shirts, the blank T-shirts? CHANTELLE TIBBS: Okay. Well, there are several places you can get them depending on what brand you're going to use. Yet again, we--I'd like jiffyshirts.com. That's my supplier for any shirts that are--oh, I call them the normal or the loosely fitted casual T-shirts. GRACE FRAGA: Okay. CHANTELLE TIBBS: The more fitted T-shirts for the indie crowd and the people who are trying to be sexy. I do alternative apparel. So, yeah. GRACE FRAGA: Like organic apparel? CHANTELLE TIBBS: Yeah. Anvil has a really great organic T-shirt. They also have a really good fitted T-shirt, too, and they run a little bit cheaper. So, I recommend Anvil, they're fantastic. GRACE FRAGA: How do you spell it so people can find it? CHANTELLE TIBBS: A-N-V-I-L. GRACE FRAGA: A-N-V-I-L.com. CHANTELLE TIBBS: Well, Anvil does a certain--just go to jiffyshirts.com GRACE FRAGA: Jiffyshirts.com. CHANTELLE TIBBS: Uh-huh. GRACE FRAGA: J-I-F-F-Y. CHANTELLE TIBBS: Yeah. GRACE FRAGA: Shirts.com CHANTELLE TIBBS: Shirts.com GRACE FRAGA: Great. So, we got the T-shirt. We pick whatever color we like. In this case, we have a nice, green T-shirt. CHANTELLE TIBBS: A nice, dark green T-shirt. GRACE FRAGA: Yes. CHANTELLE TIBBS: Dark green is good because we have several options--we have a few painting options here that might go well with it. GRACE FRAGA: Great. CHANTELLE TIBBS: They have olive green. We have light blue which is really good with--and we have the orange. I just had a recent fiasco with orange paint. GRACE FRAGA: Oh, no. So, bad memories. CHANTELLE TIBBS: Flashbacks. But yeah, I would--actually, in this case, I would recommend light blue. Light blue actually goes well with a lot of-- GRACE FRAGA: Really? Light blue on green. CHANTELLE TIBBS: Yeah. GRACE FRAGA: How do you know what color to pick? Do you try it on fabrics? What do you recommend like people pick a color for their colored T-shirt? Like for a green T-shirt, you recommend these three? For light blue T-shirt, what colors would you recommend like dark colors or...? CHANTELLE TIBBS: Dark colors, black, anything, if you don't want it to be light or lighter than a T-shirt. GRACE FRAGA: Exactly. CHANTELLE TIBBS: So, you want to make sure that it's a darker color that's going to stand out."
