"Hi, my name is Chemin Alldredge. I'm a third degree Black Belt and I'm here with Expert Village. Today we are to be going over women's beginning self defense. Alright, our next attack is going to be a bear hug. Sometimes your opponent has wrapped his arms all the way around you. You want to stay calm even though you are in a scary situation. You want to think of what's free; your legs are free, your hands are free, your head is free. I'm going to take one of my legs and I'm going to hit either to the knee and I'm going to either scrape my foot all the way down or stomp. Hitting to the knee and scraping all the way down is going to let you know that you are hitting straight to the foot. Once you've stopped that, it's going to loosen their grip. Then you are going to take your head and you're going to go straight back. That should be hitting the face and the nose and it's going to kind of make them a little bit more loose on the grip. What I'm going to do after that, I'm going to drop down, lifting my arms all the way up, pushing those arms up, grabbing the hands out of the way and thrusting the side kick into the knee, the groin or the stomach. Alright, as my attacker grabs me in what we call a bear hug, I'm going to hit the knee, swing it down and hit the foot. I'm going to head butt back, come down, grabbing the arm and kicking to the knee. "
