"Hi, this is Cheryl from Expert Village and I'm going to be teaching you how to make fused glass jewelry today. So, check it out. And now what you do is start out at medium, and you?re going to want your kiln to heat up pretty slowly. Start it a medium so there?s no air bubbles that form in the middle of the glass. We'll take it up to 1000 degrees, which is right there. The temperature in the kiln is a little bit hotter on the thermometer than it is in the kiln because heat rises and the little gauge are a little bit up top. So you always have to make sure you check it out. Wait for this to get to 1000 and you turn it on high and full blast and bring it up to 1500 degrees. Which is a full fuse, and after it hits 1500 degrees, you take off the top and let it cool down to 1000 degrees, which you?re going to knell it then. Knelling is when the glass basically forms together and basically just fires and its done. And you?re good to go. Wait, you have to put the lid back on at 1000 degrees and let it cool down to 500 and don't touch it at all. Just let it set there, basically wait till morning would be the best thing to do. And then you get to take it out of the kiln. But while that?s firing, I'm going to do something else so I can show you how to wire wrap and..."
