"My name is Courtney Hester on behalf of Expert Village and in this clip we're going to be making a grasshopper using a clothespin. You're going to take a spring loaded clothespin like this one and we're going to paint it green. You can use temper paint or acrylic paint. Once you've painted it green, we're going to add on the legs, the eyes and the antenna. We're going to start with the legs, we're going to cut two pieces of our craft wire approximately the same length. We're going to start by gluing one on each side of our clothespin at the bottom. I'm going to hold that for a second so that it doesn't move. Now that the glue is dried, we want to bend our wire to make it look more like grasshopper legs. So we're going to take and bend it upward and then down at the back. The next thing we want to do is give it some eyes and we're going to put these on top. So again we put two dots of glue and careful not to burn yourself as we put down our wiggly eyes. Last we want to give our grasshopper a couple of antennas and we're going to do this using just some straight pins, these will stick right inside the wood. Now we've completed our grasshopper."
