Video Transcript

"My name is Courtney on behalf of Expert Village and in this clip I'm going to show you how to play a classic card game to help your children practice comparing numbers. Your going to need just a standard deck of cards and we're going to remove the jokers and all the face cards except for the aces because this is our one and they have the one picture. So, we'll take all those out and set them aside. The next thing you need to do is split your deck completely in half so you'll divide out the cards until there's no more left. Once they've been divided out each person will take a turn turning over a card, and the person that turns over the largest number gets to keep the cards. This is a great way for your child to increase their speed at recognizing and comparing the value of numbers. And you do this until someone runs out of cards, the person that has all the cards then wins. "
