Summary: Crocheting a hat consists of several rows that are simple to do but a bit tricky. Watch this free video clip with a crochet expert to show you how to continue crocheting a border.
"We've been working on our second row with our different colored border. We've been working around and you can see it adds just a nice little bit of change to the hat, something that's really not that hard to do, but it just gives it that extra flare that a lot of people think would be complicated. So what we're going to keep doing is we're just going to keep working around, and remember to keep your hand real steady, you don't want it to be too much tighter than the rest of your hat has been. And just going to keep working, and you really want to make sure that you get everything covered up. So now we're here to the end, but I'm just going to loop it under one more time, just to make sure we've got everything. And there we go, and you see, because we did one row of border in the same color and then started the next one, it kind of has a nice smooth transition into the different style of stitching. And you'll see that you can utilize the border to add more rows if you wanted to, or you can continue with this and drag it down, but I like to take my border and start it kind of early so I can get it to where I want it to be. Now you can keep going with the same shade of color, or you can chop it off and just do alternating colors, or add new colors. You could really do what you want to do, this is where it gets really easy. So just continue to work on your hat until you get it the length that you want it to be, or you can stop right here, and we're done!"
