"We've been working with a completely full and solid double crochet pattern all the way across, because instead of using our holes, we've been using the row of chains that was left on top. So we're going to go ahead and continue to do this. Again, wrap your yarn around your needle and go right through that chain. Oops. There we go, right through that chain, pull it up. And you're going to pull your yarn through the first two and you're going to pull your yarn through the second two. And you're just going to keep doing this until you get to the edge to create a nice solid row. Just get it right through there. Okay. Now that we're to the edge and you can kind of see that this kind of curved up because this is where the scarf actually ended. What we're going to do is we're going to go down a little bit, like right there, and pull our yarn up and there we go. We have a nice straight line with our double crochet and this is a nice solid piece to make it look a little bit more like a trim compared to when we used the upper one. And, again, if you wanted to, you could work a solid row into your scarf whenever you like and you can change your colors as much as you want. Because, again, whenever we do a row in these patterns, we have this nice chain left on top to make it really easy to change colors and to change direction and to change details."
