"Now that we've completed one row of our trim, or if you're using this in your scarf with your new color, what I'm going to do is I'm going to turn it around and I'm going to chain up two, because this is a double crochet. And just like my scarf, I'm going to go right in here for my two solid columns right next to each other. I'm going to chain one to skip there. I'm going to go into the hole, do my double crochet, chain one, go in the hole, do my double crochet, chain one. And do the same thing, this is a very simple pattern and, again, I'm using this as a trim but you can use this throughout the scarf to create a new color. There we go. And now that we're to the end, again, I'm going to skip one and, this is so important, to make sure that you really get to the outside to keep these edges nice and straight. Oops, I forgot to wrap my yarn around. And then, go through right there on the edge and pull your yarn through the first two and then pull your yarn through the second two. Now, I would do where I pull this up and cut it and tie these two together but, since this is such a great distance between here and here, I'm not going to do that. What I'm going to do is I'm going to cut it off and pull it tight and I'm just going to weave this piece in and out underneath my chains the same way that we would end the scarf. But, again, if you're starting a new color, you want to be careful with your weaving because when you cut underneath your yarns to start your new color, it can kind of get caught up in there. And then you would do the same for that piece of yarn. And that's how we would do a trim or a new color in the same pattern."
