"Okay, so when we get ready to start our trim, we're going to start our color the way we would do anything else. With the end of our new colored yarn, we're going to take the end of it and wrap it around our finger and create this little pretzel-like shape. And we're going to use the gunner needle to pull this piece yarn right here and get a hold on to your end and pull it up. And this is how we create our first loop and you want to keep this loop on your needle. You'll want to kind of pull it tight to it. And the way we're going to start our new color on to our already existing piece is with the new loop on our needle, you want to make sure that you're starting somewhere on the outside. I'm just going to pierce through those two pieces right there. I'm going to take my yarn in my fingers. Remember again, it's very important to keep control and the same amount of tightness in it. And I'm going to pull my yarn through and then I'm going to pull yarn through those two loops that I just created. I'm going to pull my initial string down and there we go. My new color is attached. Now depending on whether you want to do a single crochet or a double, you're either just going to chain up one or you're going to chain up two. I'm going to show you both ways. So, I'm just going to leave it right here at this loop and then, what I'm getting ready to show you next is how to do a trim in just a single crochet."
