"Now that we've created our first two double crochets and our first hole we are going to continue and finish up our first row. So, after I just completed this double crochet I'm going to chain one and I'm going to skip the next chain and I'm going to go here. So, wrap your yarn around your needle and aim for this chain. We're going underneath; makes it easier for when you're working off your first base chain. With your needle under your chain you're going to pull your yarn through. If you accidentally rip your yarn that way it's OK, just unravel it. Just do it again. Go underneath there, pull your yarn through; there we go. Pull your yarn through the first two loops. Pull your yarn through the second two. Chain one. We're going to skip the next chain and go right to the very end. You want to go right underneath here. Be very careful on the end because this is where we created our initial knot to start our first loop. So, just make sure you're right here underneath this last chain. Pull your yarn through. Just grab that extra little piece or just pull it out if you unraveled it. This is a loose yarn so it's a little bit more difficult to work with. OK. Just pull that yarn through; do our double crochet. There we go. We have our nice straight edge. We've got our nice beginning to our very airy and holey scarf."
