Another smart thing to remember is to listen to your body while you are training. Your training schedule is not written in stone if you are not feeling good one day you might want to alternate your resting. Rest is a extremely important component for marathon training. You want to listen to your body. So if something is knacking your whether if it is your shin, your nursing a hamstring injury you want to take ample rest time. You never run through pain at all and you also want to add cross training so even though you are training to run and compete the marathon you want to cross train good alternative to running or stationary bike, regular bike riding, cycling classes, indoor cycling classes or a electrical trainers. "
