"On behalf of Expert Village my name is Barbara Coradin with Energy Fitness in New York City and today I'm going to show you how to train for a marathon. A strong chord or a strong abdomen is essential to run more efficiently. Here I'm just demonstrating a few abdominal exercises that you can do to increase the strength of your abdominal and your lower back. So basically you would lay flat on the mat like this, hands would be behind your head, your chin up, your elbows are back, your lips are facing the ceiling. So we would squeeze up and down, hold, and release, squeezing those abdominal and release. "
