"This is Ben Ganyo for Expert Village and we're building a kaleidoscope. So, we're going to prepare our glass mirrors. Now, a lot of directions call for you to cut glass which you can do--it's not that difficult--but, it's not the easiest; a lot of people don't have a glass cutter; they're working with children or they just want to avoid the step. They can do a quick workaround that I found is that if you go to a craft shop or a Walmart you're going to find precut glass squares. They're about an inch by inch. And they sell these for dioramas, craft kits or whatever. What we're going to do is glue them, hot glue them, to a popscicle stick. And, to key with the kaleidoscope is that your mirror--you want your mirror to be about three to four times longer than it is wide. So, this is a one inch mirror. We're going to want it to be three to four inches long. So, let's glue these to the popsicle stick. Thus, making one long mirror for the project. And, pretty much everybody knows how to use a glue gun. Pretty simple. Stick it on there and just make sure that they line up. You're going to want to make three of these popsicle stick mirrors, for lack of a better name. We got for on here and we've got a little bit of popsicle stick leftover so, what the heck, we'll just do a fifth one at the end because it's not going to hurt anything. You're just going to want to put them on there and press down--make sure they are all flat. And you're good to go! Now you want to put together two more of these."
