"Hi I'm Betty Ingham on behalf of Expert Village. For my making of bowls and you start out by putting this is called a bat and you put your bat on your wheel, wet your bat a little bit, and you center it as much as you can, I get the wheel going as fast as I can I add some water, and with my hands I try to center it and then you have to open it up, to open it up you put your two thumbs in and you make your hole. Now we got a pretty good size hole but it's going to be to big pit thick on the bottom so you want to go down a little bit further and you want to bring it out a little bit more. And you've gotten the first part of it done."
