" Wolf Wind-Walker, Expert Village, Cowboy Action Shooting. Okay folks, we're starting to get to the exciting part. We're actually going to have William Watty come up here and shoot a stage. But first, let me tell you a little bit, while he's staging his guns, I'll tell you a little it, about how we do our scoring. William Watty come on down. Notice he will stage his guns safely. We've been over that several times, we always emphasize safety. What happens when we score? You've already seen the timer, okay, timer scores overall time. So if we are shooting, like in this scenario, twenty-four shots, it will record all twenty-four shots. However many seconds it takes to do that, we record that as a score. If he has a miss on one target, that is a five-second penalty. If he has a procedural, he might shoot the targets out of order, that's a ten-second penalty. Then there are safety penalties but we won't get into that, you can find all of those on the website. So now we're going to take William Watty, when he shoots we normally have three spotters. What they do is they stand there and watch and they count his hits and his misses. The policy is: if it's a hit - it's a hit, if you think it's a hit - it's a hit, if you think it's a miss - it's a hit, but if you see it's a miss - it's a miss, so the benefit of the doubt always goes to the shooter. William Watty shooting black powder, double-duellettes, YeeHa, here we go. Shooter ready, standby. (Beep) (10 shots) Now he's going to holster, transition to his rifle. (10 shots) Lots of smoke, he's having fun. Double-barrel shotgun on this one, watch for the birdie. (2 shots) Alright, give him a YeeHa. Folks, twenty-four shots, all those transitions, he did it in 30.04 seconds. He hit every target, that's what we call clean. Of course with all that black smoke it's hard to be clean."
