Kids Arts & Crafts: Making Stars With Sponges

"Hi! This is Brenda and today we’re continuing to work on our cards using sponges. Now all these cards on the table here I bought at the art supply store, they’re a lot of fun to work with, they’re inexpensive and there is a big variety. Now I’ve choose a little star from this one project, I got my acrylic paint here on my paper plate and I'm just going to paint the star with the acrylic paint, this is blue that I'm using today if you want to use several colors that’s good contrast too but I'm just going to use one color for this project and I’ve cut my 5x8 index card into a little sheet that would be good for a card maybe a birthday card or a shower card and I folded it in half like this and now I'm just going to take the stamp that I’ve just did and I'm going to make sure that the stamp, his little face is facing the right way when it’s open and I'm going to press down very firmly to make sure that I’ve got all the paint off like this and here we have this. Now if I want to go back and make him some eyes like this I could do that, I can take my calligraphy pen and I write someone’s name here or a little message like “Come to My Party” or “Happy New Year” or whatever massage that we want and make a little envelope that’s the size of the card and put it in the mail. "
