" Hi this is Brenda and we are continuing with our stenciling project. After we practiced on a sheet of paper and we feel pretty confident with our pattern, then it is time to go on to a real project. Now I like to decorate on paper bags. These are great for little gift bags for children’s parties or for candy or just whatever little gift you might like to give some time. I like to put the stenciling on like this. First we have a hard surface for the paper bags and then we place our stenciling pattern over our brown paper bag and we tape it down so that it is not so much of a tendency to move. We got some of our green acrylic paint here on our plate. Once again you can use acrylic paint or you can use the stenciling paint in a little pot but I like the acrylic. We dab our brush, get off the excess and then we just begin to dab like this. We don’t do painting strokes. We do dabbing strokes such as this over and over like this. This is a lot of fun for children to do. You notice that I am holding my brush straight up. I don’t have it at an angle. I am just dabbing. If I wanted to use different colors I certainly could do that. It makes a little bit more interesting project. Now I am ready to look at my project and see how it looks. Just peel it off like this and here is our little bag. We can embellish it with ribbons if we would like and glitter and we have a nice little gift bag. "
