Stencils: Decorating Note Cards

" Hi this is Brenda and we are working on our stenciling project. Today we are using note cards and we are going to embellish them with this stencil design. I have chosen this little card here and I think for this project we will a heart shape. Now I’ve cut out a heart shape on my Mylar plastic sheet here like this. You know you can actually use plastic from a milk cartoon if you want to for your template but this is just a Mylar sheet. I am going to place it flat down on my note card and I am going to be using some glitter today, some school glue that has just a little bit of water added to it and we are ready to begin with our stenciling brush. The first thing we do today instead of using paint on our brush is the school glue and water. It’s been watered down just a bit. Just dab on a little bit like this. This is what in a few minutes our glitter is going to adhere to and it is going to make this note card pop out at you once the project is finished. So I am just dabbing on some of the school glue like this; the white school glue. Now I am ready to begin to sprinkle on the glitter. Just sprinkle on just like this. If you want to tape down your template to your card you can do that with some low tack tape. Actually I am just holding it down like this. Just sprinkling it on. When I feel like I’ve got it all covered, I just gently lift up and here we have a pretty embellishment for our card. After this dries, it is ready to put in the envelope and mail. "
