"Hi this is Brenda and today we are working on our pop-up cards. For this project I use 5 x 8 index cards, some acrylic paint, markers, scissors and we are ready to begin. First we fold our 5 x 8 index card in half like this. We also have a sheet of paper standing by that we will be using later. It is the same size 5 x 8. It is going to be used as our liner to cover up our cuttings. So on our index card we fold it in half and on the fold side, we are just going to make a cut like this into a diagonal like this. We are going to fold back. That becomes like a little triangle. We fold it back again on the other side. This project today is going to be a vase by the way. We have to work with it for a few minutes to get it so that it is going to be a pop up when we open it up. Pull it back like this and this is what the outside looks like. We are going to be covering this up as I said with our under liner. When we open it up, this is going to be our vase like this. Then we will glue this on and that is our card. Now here is our finished product where we embellished it with some little flowers and some of our acrylic paint. I added a butterfly here. Here are some flowers that I just glued onto the vase out of all the card stock that we used and painted. You can write a message on here like Happy Birthday or Happy Anniversary and when they open it up, the recipient gets a bouquet of flowers that pops out at them. "
