"Hi this is Brenda and we are working on our pop-up cards today. I bought some 5 x 8 white card stock index cards that we can use. We have glue, acrylic paint to paint with, scissors and a marker and we are about to begin. I take my index card and fold it in half like this and today we are going to make a Christmas tree. I take my scissors and I cut about an inch into the card stock like this. Just one line like this on the fold side. Now I fold back just like this and it becomes a triangle. Then I fold the same corner back once again into a triangle. This is what is going to become my pop-up when I begin to open the card. As you can see inside, this is what it looks like. Now work with it for just a few minutes because it is a project that you just have to kind of work with to make your pop-up become what you want it to. In just a few seconds, it pops up and becomes a Christmas tree like this. Then we take a piece of paper that we cut earlier that is the same size 5 x 8, just a plain sheet of paper and we will be gluing this on the back side. This covers up our cutting marks and this is kind of like a liner. We can paint with our acrylic paint; we can use stickers or glitter. Here’s the finished product. As you can see we are going to open up the card and the tree pops out at you and you can write Happy Holidays or whatever message you like. You can use your acrylic paints to paint with. You can use stickers if you don’t feel very artistic. You can put glitter on there. You can add ribbon. The sky is the limit. "
