Video Transcript

"Hi, this is Brenda F. Dixon, I'm a licensed clinical social worker with Expert Village and we're here talking about how to overcome anger. Today we are going to spend a little bit of time on talking about a person that really is a hot tempered person. I mean somebody that's just a hot head. You can say just a few things to them and they just kind of flare right up in your face. Those kind of people you have to be really careful around. Remember I told you to talk very patient, to talk very soft, keep your answers soft. You can actually help that person one time, that' it, one time. If you rescue that person any more than one time you'll have to do it over and over and over and over and over and so we want to only remember; one time rescue. I might talk a little bit next time about what it means to rescue a person but this time when a person is really a hot tempered, I mean we are talking about where you're just carrying on a conversation with somebody and they just flare right up in your face. In other words they've got a boiler underneath of them and you don't know when you tapped it or touched it and if you do tap it and touch it it will flare in your face. That's the kind of people I'm talking about that you may want to be careful about rescuing them because if you do you'll just have to do it repeatedly. It does not end. They will pay the price of that kind of anger that is boiling inside of them ."
