"On behalf of ExpertVillage.com, my name is Candace Copeland. There's another one here, same kind of material. We're looking back at this time of plastics that, I'm really not sure when that decade was, but you find these in antique stores. And, if you can look up above, this is again an entire hide. This was the mold and thats what I made out of what I saw, by putting an actual live blanket on him. Giving him a full-feather head dress. Not like the painted feathers, just a natural feather. His stripe across here is actually a piece of leather. And, his little breach cloth is painted. His moccasions are painted. A lot of times they put their handprint on their horses, so thats the had print is on the horse. And then you know just the rest of it, I cut out open areas so that you could get the whole feeling of the horse. So, thats why there are some of those places that are cut out, to give you that full detail that you get, like I got into here. Again, probably several days drying time. Working with it, working with it. This one being larger than most, it took a lot more fiddling to make sure that I was able to catch all of the amazing detail, that really was done in these pieces. They really did do a lot of work on these and they were a very popular item for the tourist trade."
