" Hi! I’m Candi Cane-Canncel on behalf of expertvillage.com. So in our last segment we learned how to press open a seam, now we’re going to learn how to actually finish the seam edges to give your fabric a nice look from the inside. So with your pressed open seam you’re just going to be taking one side of the fabric and simply folding it under, pressing as you go. Once you have it pressed you turn around your fabric and do the same thing to the other side. Once you have your seam pressed in, in order to secure it you can just go ahead and put in a couple pins just to keep it, because we’re going to be actually stitching this seam to make it look pretty from the inside. And remember to pin just the little seam allowance you don’t want to pin to your actual piece of fabric, turn it around to make sure it’s pressed really well and then do the same thing. So you have your seam pressed and pinned in place and what we’re going to be doing is you go all the way to the edge, put down the presser foot and you’re going to be stitching up the edge just to secure the seam allowance underneath…and then you’re going to do that same stitch for the other side. Take your pins out and there you have it a seam that looks just as good from the inside as from the outside. For more info on this topic please go to my website at candiland.com."
