"Hi, I'm Candi Cane-Canncel, with Expert Village. So, we've already pinned our strap. The next step is actually stitching the strap. So what I'm doing is using contrasting thread. Sewing white vinyl and using black thread. So when you're sewing vinyl you want to make sure to use a thicker gage needle and this is a size sixteen. Another handy thing is sewer's aid. What you do is just take a little bit, put it on your finger and stick it on the needle. You can also put it on the foot. What it's going to do is just glide along the vinyl a lot easier. Then you're ready to sew and when you're sewing vinyl, you want to make sure to kind of push it along because sometimes it gets a little stuck. Okay, once you finish sewing what you want to do, take it out of the machine and you're actually going to go ahead and trim the seam allowance. This will just give you a cleaner strap. So after you've made your strap, the nest step is going to be pinning the whole thing together to get ready to sew. "
