"Hi, I'm Candi Cane Canncel for Expert Village. In this clip I'm going to show you how to take the measurements from your camera and turn it into a pattern. The first thing you want to do is measure out the length; in this case are measurements are four inches. So I'm going to go ahead and add four more inches for a total of eight. I'm also incorporating the seam allowance into this measurement so I won't have to add that to it. Four inches in length then the height was three inches so we are going to add we'll go ahead and add about three inches to that as well. That will give us a total of six then the next one is the thickness and the thickness is an inch and three quarters, what we are going to do is just add two inches to that measurement. It will give us three and three quarters. After you have the body of your camera measured out, what you are going to do is take the width measurement which was an inch and three quarters then you are going to add about a couple of inches to that. You are going to lengthen it by 22 inches because this piece is actually going to go around the body of the sides. When you have that figured out, the next step is to do a little top flap closure. You are going to take the width which in our case was three and you are going to add just a couple of inches like we did; in case it was three so you are going to take 6 inches across and just roughly four inches tall. This will give you a nice top to cover your bag. After you have your measurements down the next step is to cut them out."
