"Hi, I'm Candi Cane Canncel with Expert Village. So in this clip I'm going to go over a different fabric options that you can use for your fun appliquéd pillow. So the first thing you want to do is have your main fabric. Now in this case what I'm going to do is recycle and actually use this skirt that unfortunately no longer fits me but it's such a great sort of ultra suede fabric. There is plenty of material to work with and then you want to have two contrasting fabrics. Now I like to use felt in my art because it's such a cool texture, then it's also really inexpensive. It comes in a variety of colors, you can find these at most arts and craft stores for about 20 cents a square. In this case I'm using like a peacocky turquoise color that is just gorgeous and the last fabric is just a heavy duty upholstery fabric in a brown. Because we are using fabric we are going to go ahead and interface the back just to give it a little extra stiffness but with the felt you don't have to worry about interfacing, it's pretty thick and sturdy."
