"Hi, I'm Candi Cane Canncel with Expert Village. Today's topic is how to make a really fun appliquéd throw pillow. So the first thing you need to do is figure out what size you want for your pillow. Now if you are doing something in a large room with a fairly plain couch or chair you are better off doing something larger, at least 14X14 up until even 20X20. If you are going to do something just to contrasting pillow up against a fabric background that is very busy then you can go with something smaller like a 12X12 or a 14X14. In this case we are going to do a 14X14 you can buy premade pillow inserts like this at pretty much any fabric store. They either come in a cotton like this one is or in a softer like poly blend but either way they are just premade and ready to go. Today I have decided to make my own pillow insert so I'm going to use some muslin and just inexpensive fiber pillow to create the pillow size that I want to have."
