"Another common wear replaceable item on your automatic pool cleaner are the flaps. And the flaps are these guys right over here. Now what they do is they help create your pressure pattern, and if working properly, it will clean tip to tip right there on the bottom. If not, if these or the flaps are not working properly, you break the suction and you only suck directly underneath. Getting them off, pretty easy. Our old friend, the flathead screwdriver, you get it in there and just nudge it out, a little bit there and she'll pop. Now older ones that are more broken in, a little bit more rigid, you may have to work a little bit more at them. Be really careful, you force either one of these two and break this piece, well that's a real expensive repair, and unnecessary, just take it easy. And all you have to do to put them back in, there's a front and a back, they're actually labeled "front" and "back", and so here is also on the chassis labeled "front" and "back". And all you're going to do, as you can see right here, is take one side, set it in the hole. Now you want to make sure that that blue spring ends up right between those two pieces, and then we're going to gently just sort of move her down, and if necessary, cajole it in with the screwdriver, get in there, perfect, and then boom. You've got a nice good flap, if you can see in there, the screw is set exactly where it should be. Repeat it on the backside, and now you've replaced the flaps on your automatic pool cleaner."
