"Instead of folding, this time we will be placing rubber bands all over the shirt. Have all of your things handy. Pick any point on the shirt, pinch it and apply a rubber band to the tip. Make it very, very tight. Keep doing the same thing throughout the shirt, make them very tight. When you have done it 8 to 10 times, you are ready. Dip it in the color of your choice. This technique works better in just one color; we’ll try it with black. Ten minutes later and after it cools down, take out all of the rubber bands. On this one, some of the effect was lost because I didn’t not tighten the rubber bands enough. So make them tighter than you think. Don’t forget to rinse them, hang them to dry and then iron at high temperature for longer lasting colors. "
