"So, from this point on I'm going to kind of move more into the leather carving technique, such as this example I've already shown you and let's kind of, also this little leaf I made really quickly even though this is sort of crude, but kind of the idea. So this is the direction we're going, but I just want to kind of again, reiterate that there's different techniques and there's a few different traditions in leather tooling. One is again, kind of the simplest, is to just sort of take pre-made little designs like these stars or flowers or letters and just stamp them in using single action. Kind of the next step to do in those kind of, that kind of work is to maybe use, things like, I don't know, the basket weave stamp and do patterns over larger areas, maybe overlapping things like the camouflage stamp and the veiner to do textured areas. There's kind of an intermediate type of work that a lot of people do which is to use stamps like the camouflage stamp and the veiner to kind of make patterns over a larger area. So, for example, you can take the veiner and just single action, just sort of make like designs, kind of borders, like I kind of started to do here. Maybe I can take the camouflage stamp and kind of start doing it like this. So, I mean, this is real just kind of decorative. It's not really following any kind of a pattern or any shape but if you kind of do this enough, you start to imagine how you can get some kind of interesting, if you kind of keep it sort of regular, some interesting kind of patterns. So, I mean that's really crude, it was done quickly, but you can imagine something like this continuing maybe along the border of a wallet or a belt, maybe a wallet, belt or wrist band or something like that. But it looks pretty nice once it's finished with a dye or a stain. But really what we're going to start talking about now is how to use things like the knives and the bevelers and the shaders to get kind of these more kind of sophisticated three dimensional designs like this leaf I did quickly and like this one I did earlier this year."
