"In this clip I'm going to talk about how to use a photo to decorate your completed belly cast. A lot of parents like to put a photo of their newborn onto the belly casting. It can be done, but what you need to realize is that on a belly, oops, on a belly such is the size if you take a large picture to cover as much you can on the belly what's going to happen is it's going to wrinkle when you put it on. So, you want to make sure that the size of the picture coordinates with the size of the belly. So, we've shrunk the picture and you want to place it in an area that is flatter on the belly. Another issue that we have found is that when you are placing the photo on the belly you want it to be on regular copy paper. This decoupages much better onto the belly. We've tried a few different things when we've been doing this. These blank areas were sonogram pictures. You do not want to use an original sonogram picture to put on your belly. It will disappear with the decoupage technique. Regular picture, photo paper is too thick to stay on the belly, so you don't want to use a regular photo paper. What does work just regular printer paper, magazines, the thinner magazine paper seemed to work; if you want to cut out a picture that you have found in a magazine. Also, paper works fine, also; if you found a picture in the paper. So, any of those will work just make sure you stay away from photo paper and sonogram pictures when your placing a photo onto your belly casting."
