"In this clip I'm going to talk about how to repair a belly, if it has happened to get damaged. This belly had something leaning on it and it has lost its rigidity. We're going to add more plaster to it. If it was a belly that had a design on it, you'd want to make sure you sanded down that area of varnish and we would just reapply the plaster, making sure that we take the extra water off. Apply it to the area that is weak or broken. Smooth it out. This will give more support to that area. You may decide to do more of the belly, just to even out the strips. We're just going to do the two areas, apply the plaster, smooth it out, and again, we will put it back into its original shape. It will harden; dry, and then we can prime, sand, and get ready to make the new design on the belly. That is how to repair a broken belly."
