"In this clip I'm going to be talking about if your model would like to incorporate a hand being casted into the belly cast. Typically it is best if an adult does this; meaning an adult hand being placed on the belly. Children can't sit still that long; to have their hands casted into mama's belly. So, if you have your husband or significant other; wants to stand behind you and put his hands on your belly, or if you want to put your hands on your belly that is perfectly fine. Just try and steer away from kids. Jewelry, if you're wearing jewelry it's best if you take the jewelry off. It won't really be seen when you cast over it and the plaster can get in the jewelry, so make sure you take that precaution. You want to make sure that you Vaseline the whole area that will be casted. That may mean up to, you know, a quarter of your arm. The placement of the hand is important. If you're casting half way down your belly the hand should be underneath the previous laid strip. You don't want to place a hand over plaster that has already been laid and smoothed out. That will make it much more difficult to remove the cast. This has been how to prepare to incorporate hands into a belly casting."
