In this clip, we're going to be talking about how to dip the strips of plaster for your belly casting. We've cut the strips in twelve to sixteen inch lengths for the torso casting or belly casting. When you dip it into the warm water, you want to make sure that you do it slowly and as it comes out, it's going to have a lot of water on it. You need to make sure; you just run your hands down the length of the plaster strip so it gets the excess water out. You're in a perfect position to just put it onto your model and smooth out the plaster. We found that just dunking the strip into the water and pulling it out, it folds. This won't be a good strip to use on the belly. You want to make sure you take your time, hold both ends of the plaster, slowly go through the water, and as it comes out, run your hand down the strip to get the excess water off. It will be ready to put onto your model. That is how you prepare the strips.
